Detox Taco Salad

Equipment:

  • Skillet
  • Bowl

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 6 cups thinly sliced lettuce
  • 2 cups tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 tsps taco seasoning of your choice
  • 1/2 cup salsa of enchilada sauce
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder

Instructions:

  1. Spray a skillet with olive oil spray. Add onions and bell peppers and cook until soft, about 2-3 minutes. Add in ground beef or turkey and cook mixture until half way done. Add  the taco seasoning mixture. Cook until meat is cooked through. Finish with chopped cilantro, stirring it through.
  2. Mix all the remaining salad ingredients and top it off with the cooked meat evenly or as per desired serving portion.
  3. Serve and enjoy!
