How To Make Chocolate Coconut Cream Bars

  • Baking Pan
  • Microwave
  • Food Processor

Ingredients:

Coconut Cream Layer

  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1/3 cup coconut cream
  • 3 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 3 cups shredded coconut

Chocolate Layer

  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/4  cup coconut cream

Instructions:

  1. Make the coconut layer. Add coconut flakes, coconut oil, coconut cream, and maple syrup to a food processor and blend until it becomes moldable. Process until you get a sticky mixture, with smaller, just slightly noticeable coconut pieces.
  2. Pour mixture into an 8×8 inch pan lined with parchment or wax paper. Press down firmly with a rubber spatula and smooth mixture into an even layer. Set aside.
  3. Prepare chocolate layer by combining dark chocolate chips and coconut cream in a bowl. Microwave in 15-second intervals, stirring mixture thoroughly in between.
  4. Pour chocolate mixture on top of the coconut cream layer and spread into an even layer with a rubber spatula. Sprinkle shredded coconut on top.
  5. Freeze for 40 minutes to one hour. Cut into medium-sized squares.
  6. Serve and enjoy!
